Here's a little side project that I have been working on. It has the Mugen front lip, which is on the car already, and working on the rear bumper and still deciding what to do with the spoiler. It's going to be a street version.

Side pic of the Accord sitting on an old Accord project chassis, interior bay and windows. I've decided to add a rear seat and do a LHD conversion along with a modified roll-cage.

Top view.

*edit* Those are the rims I plan to use, and for the color, I'm going for Artic Blue Metallic, and don't tell me it has to be a tad bit lower!
Tell me what yah guys think

i like what i see. are you going to leave the rims white?

i wanted to do something similar with the numbers on the windows, but more like "DS05" because drift session is the bomb.

anyways, are you going to put up a pic of the front?

Drift Session!!!!! Thanks for the comments guys. And I was planning to paint the rims white, but we'll see. By the way here are the pics of the front and the rear, by the way I'm useing Bondo spot and glazing putty, seems to be the same as Testors Red putty except it was $2USD less!!

If the pics look crooked or off, it's because I used a scanner to get them.

Can't wait to see the results!

IMO i think the wheels look best in silver!!not the greatest pic, taken a while ago!
If the pics look crooked or off, it's because I used a scanner to get them.

Well, it's kinda not really based on this car, I just took the pic because it had a Mugen front lip. Notice that the vents on the side of the bumper look diffrent from the one I got on my car

Thanks again for the comments, MaxSE, I just hold the car down with something on the glass and scan, just make sure you don't screw your glass up.

Any other suggestions??? Right now I'm deciding weather to make a new front bumper or stick with the mugen lip. I'm almost done modifing the roll-cage to accomodate the rear seat.

kicker1_solo, if I use blue/white, how would I make the patterns?? Like which parts blue or white?

Any suggestions with a front bumper, provide pics if possible.

Just start with the colors and do what you think would look good. I dunno how it looks inside, as far as vents, door panels and such, so I can't tell ya. Just do what you think would look cool.
Or look around at some nice imports that have sweet lookin' interiors and use those as a guide. :)

Leave it. If you modify it, it may become fake looking.

The rear spoiler is looking good.
To make it look more realistic, you might wanna cut two triangles out of the supports (see any rear spoiler and you will know what I mean).

Do you mean make it like a GT Wing?? I'm actually trying to replicate the Touring spoiler not a GT Wing. You see, my past two cars, Supra and Civic, both have GT Wings so I wanted to do something a bit different. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Haha, I guess not eh?? Going to pop in 8 bulbs(4 in front and back), and I plan to cut open the trunk to access the batterys and a switch. So how should I link the LEDs???? Should I connect them to each other then connect it to the battery????? or Connect them individualy to the battery???? and, Is a 220ohms resistor good enough to handle more tham one bulb??

Here's what's happin'! I've been fixing my AE86 spoiler though this week, and won't primer till next week Sunday so I got some spare time on my hands to work on this car again:):)!! I can't seem to find LED's that are white with a blue hue, only blue ones! I'm either going to have 6 LED's and 2 bulbs, or 8 LED's and 2 bulbs, or no lights at all! We'll see.........

Well I planned out......... the cuts..........

all white LED's are based off of blue ones, they should all have a bluish white, or purplish white hue, its jut the way they are. Good luck on the accord, looks excellent so far.

for the L.E.D set out, you will need a resistor for every light too.

tomazws, where do you get your LED's from? I bought some LED's at RadioShack, and they are huge! Well except the red ones, and for white LED's, they take more that 3v which is how much power I plan to put in my car.

But do you guys know any store that sells smaller LED's?

I'em white LEDs from Frys.. donno if Hawaii has it

Jonno
11-01-2002, 05:55 AM
There is a place here in Australia called "Force Electronics" they have them, I think they are about 2mm.

tomazws
11-01-2002, 04:34 PM
whoa 2mm? i want i want!!! hhahahah.. mines are 3mm... tried putting a black piece of circular plastic over the LED and created the BMW "Angel Eyes" effect. it was tite! too bad they don't made no current bmw models.... and angel eyes don't look good on those old ass beemers:( :( :( :( :( :(

Ok, here's the problem, the middle of the hood wasen't supposed to snap off, and if it did, it was supposed to be straight, since I made a straight groove on the bottom of the hood, so I need some advice on fixing this.

magicmanjk808
12-21-2002, 05:27 AM
if that happened to me, i'd just glue the hood back on and fill the crack with putty.

Camber
12-21-2002, 09:08 AM
Looking good. For the Hood id put a piece of Styrene piece under the hole and fill it with putty. Which Accord is it based on? Jaccs or PIAA? Im guessing JACCS from your Sig?

Vegetta
12-21-2002, 09:47 AM
Yea, if you can deal with the electrical/resistor/soldering work, go for the LED's. I build an older S10 that had the typical "White/blueish" headlights, wit the yellow foglights. *think of te LX300*.

Somewere I also found a "dancing" switch that I put in the topper of a Suburban I build with speakers in te sback. The ligts "danced" ot the music.

Nice. :) As far as the crack part goes, glue the part back on and fill the seams woht putty.

Purpura Delujo

Australia also has a place called Jaycar, I have a bag full of LEDs from there and I have 1mm white/blues, 2mm yellows & reds, 3mm yellows and reds and a couple of flat yellows.

still looking good, when is it going to be finished?

02-15-2003, 04:55 PM
Maybe you can cover the hole on the bonnet with clear plastics and pop in a ITR engine...just a suggestion

Honoturtle

I was suprised to see my old thread come back to life! The car is alright at the moment, I still got some work with the hood, but it still got a couple of long months ahead of it. I hope to finish it by the end of March of beginning of April.
