I just bought a cold air intake for my spec-v but I was dissapointed when I learned that it could not support a bypass. Does anyone know if I should be woried about this? I just dont want to damage the engine. I would also like to know if anyone has had any problems with theft of their car sombody tried to steel mine and caused some serious damage to the driver side door does anybody have any suggestions on antitheft devices other that those that came with the car.

how bout going to somewhere other than the "comparisons" forum to ask?
don't drive through water that is higher than where the filter will sit...
that can't be too hard...

I have aem cai without a bypass valve so i was all worried about it first, so i posted a thread asking if i should be worried about it. All the kids said theres is fine, and its not that big of a deal. Since then ive been through some pretty big puddles... it seems like it would have to be a flood or something to actually suck up water, in which case, claim flood dmage on your insurance :)

you live in tucson..
most of the time you need not worry at all .
but the winter may cause some problems..
i wouldn't worry if i were you..
if your that worried.. buy the bypass and put one on . .
