bodykit sh1t

hey guys...i hope you guys can help me out here....i recently bought a piece of shit bodykit from ebay...i know, i get what i paid for...it's a drift bodykit, by the way, and it f u c k e n fiberglass...thing is, it wont f u c k e n fit...well, it would, if i break it into a milliono freakin peices...any ideas...i can take it to the shop, but i wanna gather my resources first....please, dont talk smack and just help me...im f u c k e n desperate...watever works, bondo...anything

You can try doing it yourself, but be prepared for saying "f u c k i n g" a lot more than what you are saying now. But like what you said, you get what you pay for. Thos eBay kits are terrible. They don't fit, and don't even come close to matching up on where they should. The best option would be to take it to a body shop and have them fit everything. It will cost a pretty penny though.

It's going to have to be completely re-worked. It'll cost an assload at a shop, and doing it yourself is almost impossible even if you have a decent understanding of bodyparts. Fiberglass isn't exactly easy to re-shape, and if not done right, it'll crack right away. If I was you, I'd try to sell it for what you paid for it, and get one that fits. I got an ebay kit on my Eclipse, but it's urethane and it was sooooo much easier to work with than fiberglass. :2cents:

Well we know he doesnt know alot about bodywork if he says bondo because thats a brand of bodyfiller. You can only use a slight amout of bodyfiller on fiberglass otherwise its just gonna break off.

Your gonna have a lot of money and such invested in getting it reworked here. This is why I personally don't trust ebay for aftermarket body panels. Now OEM panels are a different story. :wink:

even if they pay 5 grand to get it to look good, it will break and come apart

your best option is to throw the kit away, seriously. You will spend less money getting a real body kit and putting that on than it will cost to put that junk on. Or just throw it away and forget about the body kits...

For someone who has 90% of their post count in the video section, I don't think you're in any position to call anyone out on what they know. Although Bondo is a brand of bodyfiller, it's a very common "slang" word for bodyfiller. It's just like saying "Q-tip", when that's actually a brand and the real name is cotton swab, but really, who says "do you have a cotton swab?", I don't think I've ever heard that.

A sincere piece of advice. Sell the kit locally and try to get any amount of money back. Do not waste your time and money trying to fit it on there.

After you've gotten rid of it, I highly recommend eBay's urethane front lips if you are looking to dress up your car's front end. I had one on my Spyder, that stuff is indestructible and only $135 shipped to your door. It's so flexible and easy to work with, I just bought a urethane lip for a 2Ga bumper that I will attempt to hack and put on my 3000GT. Go for anything urethane...the installation is very forgiving and so is the quality.
