everyone should get a sway bar

just put mine in on sunday. it is a progress reay sway bar and it is absolutely awesome. driving is an adventure again. on roads that you can turn right onto with yeild signs and nice rt turn lanes i can hit at 40 and be in vtec in second gear at the exit. the car just carves the road. it feels so secure. by tires dont rub the wheel wells anymore when agressivily cornering anymore either. it is a must with any driving enthusiaist. you should also get some coil overs and learn to heel toe shift to make it a good combo.

larger rear sway bars are not for everyone. Especially if you are a new driver. A larger rear sway bar will make your car oversteer quicker and can cause sub frame tearing.

to avoid sub-frame tearing should i get all the other strut and tie bars?
mine is 22mm. if i take a quick 90, real fast, you can get the car up on three wheels. i'm guessing this is bad for the chasis.

Did it clear your exhaust....?.....I've heard a lot of aftermarket cat back will hit it....

My A'pexi WS cat-back sure as hell touches one of the endlink bolts to the 6th gen Si rear swaybar I put on my car. Even after trimming down the problem bolt, I've heard it stull rub on the exhaust piping at least twice that I know of. I covered the spot in some black galvanizing paint to match it in color (it's black) and also to seal it off since the metal was exposed. It also will let me see if it's still rubbing or not, which it still does sometimes.
As far as subframe tear-out, one measure you can make to prevent it is the have your swaybar mounting brackets WELDED to your frame once you get them bolted on. This add some strenghth to them, can't tell if it'll stop the tear out or not, but it'll lessen the chances of it. :)

I've got the Tanabe Racing medallion cat back....I couldn't have gone any bigger of an exhaust....I didn't think about the sway bar clearence when I bought it...

I have a Tanabe G Power Medallion Exhaust, is it as big as your Tanabe?
