02 stang no drive

I have a 02 3.8L stang and the automatic tranny does not have drive any more it does have reverse it was working just fine. i was geting it out of a snow bank rocking it back and forth not hard and the drive just stopped no noise or anything. any info yah all would be greatly needed thank you.

sounds like you need a new tranny, sorry.

You probably burned it up. Normally when a trans gets too hot and starts slipping the first gears to go are the higher gears. The fix is a rebuild.

needed new tranny the clutch packs were shot

yeah, not a surprise...little known fact here...EVERY time tranny fluid be it synthetic or not, is over heated like when rocking it...it's life is cut in half...your car needs to be flushed every 30k...rock it once, now it needs to be changed in 15k....do it again...7500 miles....etc... remember, automatics are hydraulic creatures, they need thier fluid to work, and it has to be clean fluid.
