I am in the process of Selling my 17' BSA blk spoke w/machined lip(Brand New still in boxes) w/kumho ecsta 711 tires 215/45/R17/87H (2-3 weeks of driving on) 5 lug universale for $750(No valve stems or Lug nuts) The tires are on another set of rims that are sitting in storage. I have not unmounted them because I wanted to show they are still New and can hold Air.
Do yall think that is a good deal?

Also with the money from selling that, and tax return, and a little I add to it, I'm thinking about doing a motor swap in my 91 CRX. Since i'm having smoking issues with my stock motor now, I guess it's time to do a swap n tranny sawp and not worry about rebuilding stock d15b2 motor w/ automatic tranny. The thing is what would be the best sawp for me to do. I really want a b16 or b18 w/ a 5 speed tranny. I don't know how to do this swap and I don't know how much its going to run me for everything. So please give me some ideas... Latta

well converting from auto to manual is a few grand right there at a speed center plus the engine nad tranny and the swap for that. at my speed center it would be like 5k plus for the engine and tranny swap.

5K? Sheesh, too much son. IMO, pick up a cheap B18 locally with trans and swap that in. They can be had for less than a grand and if you are lucky you can probably find one for like 500 bucks or less. Get some mounts, shift linkage, do the mpfi and auto to manual swap and throw the engine in yourself. If you do find a cheap B18 you can probably do the swap with a little more than a grand.

Damn....a few grand for a auto to manual...damn I'm in the wrong business. I think CRXperiment is more along the right lines, the hardest part on engine swaps is the wiring, the physical engine swap is easy.

Someone told me it is best to run a cable cluth then a hydro one is that true? Also someone told me to run a b18 w/ auto tranny it would be a good swap?

Well it would be easier. And if you just got a b series cables trans it would be cheaper, easier, and work just fine. i personally like cable far better and ive driven both (other was in a 2001 GS-R)

Yep, Cable is easier for the swap and I prefer cable over hydraulic aswell. Cable you can adjust, hydraulic you can't adjust and too many extra parts that can mess up(lines to get holes in). An auto will be easier, but if you want a 5 spd, go for it now while your doing the swap.

Honestly dont bother swapping in an auto B series into your CRX. If you want an auto B you might as well not even go through the trouble of doing a swap. Keep your D15 as a daily driver. If you have serious intent on this swap then most definitely find a 5spd cable bseries tranny. You won't be dissapointed.

The B16 LSD tranny is good, the only problem is finding one that doesn't grind in 3rd gear.

mmm i love that 3rd gear grind lol i need to get a tune up and get the tranny flushed..throw in some syncromesh and ill be good to go. i also need to get a different header, mines beat the hell up cuz its a jdm 4-1 and hangs so low. its robbin the air flow so im just gonna find a 4-2-1 and cut mine off..its not even worth tryin to sell.
for the money id just build an ls/vtec and put it in..i like my b16 but i still feel like it should be faster.
