hey all. i'm going to be cheeky here and jump in on the GTO debate.
not sure if you know the history of the Monaro and the new models available down here.
the old 70's monaro was an icon up against the Ford Falcon GTHO. both racing in our V8 series.
heres a quick look at our muscle cars

the "new" monaro was designed and built on the side by the Holden engineers out of hours as a concept. the public wanted this car so bad they had to build it. we had no V8 two door. now they are as common as buttholes, everyones got one
the new model on the cover of our Motor magazine is a convertible. and the regular family sedan (the commodore) which is the basis for the gto is coming your way too.

these are the race derived models for the guys with the money.
i don't care where the car is built. if it worth the money, buy it
