Alright, I know that there are some posts about this here and on other forums, but I havn't found any solid answers or fixes. Here's what I got. 03' ZR2, no floor vent heat, only defrost and vents blow air. I have heard everything about the transfer case vaccumm switch sucking up fluid into the controls and yada yada. I have no fluid issues, I have good vaccumm coming into the selector (on the small black vaccumm line) I can see four actuators under the dash and when I move the selector and the temp selector they each move and appear to be working. What am I missing??? I'm getting frostbite in my feet!! Its been about 3 weeks in Chicago where the morning temp is 0. Any ideas?????? Thanks!

Find the vacuum diaphram (3" or 4" round by about 1" thick) that is supposed to move the air direct door. It may be stuck, broken, or not getting vac to it.

Welcom on your first post on AF.
Automatic controls?
There should be a solenoid pack on heater housing with about 5 electric/vacuum solenoids that switch the mode doors.
You will need to check for vacuum to and threw the electric solenoids.
Hold your finger on them to feel for the electric operation part.
You will need a vacuum gauge to check for vacuum to and threw them.
Check your PM mail for more info.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I had the same problem on my 98, there is a vacuum actuator above the gas pedal that controls the air door for the heater. I accidentally broke the plastic piece from the actuator to the air door. I fabricated a new one out of sheet metal and glued/screwed it in place. It's been working fine since.
