WOWOWOWOWOW, I just started watching Grand Prix(1966) about F1, I'm 30 minutes into a 1:40 movie and it already topped LeMans with Steve Mcqueen, I think anyway, but that's a great movie too. If you can get past the long sucky Overture in the beginning, the movie starts quick and flies from the finish line. Meanwhile, during the race, the racers talk about what it means to live on the edge and about techniques. Then it goes into racing views, chasing the other F1s and screaming through the live streets of Monte Carlo.
It's already taught me something very important:
You make one big mistake and you crash, and that one big mistake doesn't always happen in a millisecond.
One thing I disagree with:
Racers don't have an imagination, and now I know where J.Clarkson came up with that idea-from this movie.
You all have to see this film! Okay back to watching GP--

Le Mans is sentimental favourite as the actual date that the race is set is within hours of when I was born... which makes me an old bastard.

You're right, you are an old bastard.
LeMans is great but GP is 3 hours long chock full with content and storyline. nuff said. My guilty conscience is telling me to apologize to you for calling you an old bastard, I've gotta fix that someday.
