Transaxle problem need help

hey thanks for reading this i have a Grand am 95 v6 3.1 4speed transaxle and today i was cruising and all of a sunnden a ear like a CloK and feel something weird on accelleration so i release gaz pedal and press again then i stop at the red light and when it turn green pooff nada i was on drive and it like i was neutral than i tried 3 nothing either than i tryed 2 and i got some torque to drive to a parking spot than i checked my a/t transaxle oil and was fine and still red so i stopped it checked the transakle fuse was ok than start car back try Reward and was workind but D ans 3 is like neutral and 2 is ok also i have disconnected the transaxle sensor and i was able to use the D 3 2 but with a real lack of power anyone know what's going on ? thanks:banghead:

Unfortunately, I think you will be having some transmission repairs done in the near future. Take the car to a tranny shop and have it scanned. They will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong. It sounds like you have lost third gear but it could be as simple as a misadjustment in the shifter cable. So get it checked.

yeah well i brought a new one and i have opened the broken one and the gears is broken and some teeth on another one was also broken :P
