why is my engine light on?There are no stored codes!

I have a 97 grand am 2.4.The engine light is always on as well as the ets off light is allways on,prob unrelated.My mac/otc scanner reads no stored codes new or old.As far as I know a trouble code is the only reason the light should come on.I tryed to clear with my scanner as well as disconnected the batt and the light is still on.Any ideas?:banghead:

Well I'd say you have something wrong that your scanner isnt picking up on.
Alot of scanners dont read ABS or Body/Trans codes.

I say ABS codes because of your two lights that are on,
that would indicate this being a problem. So they Are related!

Probly a wheel speed sensor.
