i was wondering if i wanted to run 6.5 drivers (eu-700) for midbass would i use the rear speaker rca or the subwoofer?

if you are trying to do it strictly from the head unit, it might be difficult. You can't use the sub rca - it puts out 20 Hz to whatever you cross them out at the top. Midbass is typically run at like 40-70Hz at the bottom to 120-400Hz at the top. The purpose of midbass drivers is to allow you to cross the subs out lower while simultaneously taking the midbass/ lower mids away from the mids. It allows you to be able to use smaller mids, which are usually better at accurate midrange reproduction.

I think paul was refering to the HU preouts, you might need a seperate EQ or processor to get the settings perfect. I could be wrong.

As long as the amp has a good EQ setup then it should be fine with the rear outputs.

ok cool. one thing though. can you recommed a 4 channel amp that puts out 100 w at 4ohm and 200 at 2ohm

Its going to be hard to find one that doubles power from 4-2 ohms.

But heres a few that do the 100x4 @ 4 ohms.

autotek MM 100.4

Autotek SS 100.4

Rockford P8004

MTX TA7804

ECLIPSE XA4000

Rockford 801X

I found a few that met your requirements, but theres some others.

I like the older rockford amps, for some reason i dont like the chrome ones that much. But power is power as long as its true rms.

Since im going for a semi show truck im trying to keep the amps the same. I finally found one of the HU i was looking at, i had one in my corolla and it broke when i wrecked it, and since then its been a real PITA to find one, but i found it on ebay for 159.

Its a panasonic cq-dfx983u, its nothing fancy but i love the look and EQ and options this thing has.

But good luck on the amp i think i seen one on ebay for like 300 and some change. Rockford aint cheap, but someof there amps are awsome and there power series stuff is sweet. But i prefer stuff no one hasreally heard of, thats what really turns heads.

you most often get what you pay for ...... that amp would most likeley be the last mid/tweet amp you will ever HAVE to buy. Same goes with amps from like Zapco, Arc, etc ....

Thats why i recomend profile. Cheap and they produce close to rated power.

yea but none of the their amps put out enough or putout too much for the speakers i want. and i would rather play it safe and not get one that is 70 watts over what my speakers can handle rms wise.

Hifonics are pretty decent.
