I got into a slight accident recently, and I have to replace the light that is BESIDE the left headlight, on the left hand side. I was inable to do this, because I do not have the proper tools to bend metal:shakehead , so I gave up. I wanted to see what those lights were even for, however, so I turned on every single light i possibly could... and the one that was still intact never came on. The bulb could be dead, but I really want to know what the purpose of those lights are, and what they are called.

Welcome to AF.
Those would probly be your side markers or you can call them turn signals, but for the side :D
The headlamp housing and side markers are all one piece btw.

Here's a like to a thread(N-body subforum-Appearance/Non-Performance (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1988)) that tells you how to remove them.
You dont need many tool either a straight screw driver and a phillips will work.

Well I probably should have made it clearer, but I have a 93 Grand AM GT, and its turn signals are below the headlights, but above the fog lights... sorry.

:uhoh: My bad, I should have asked what year instead of jumping to conclusions :banghead:

They are a lot different then the 99+.
These are more difficult to access.

You'll need to get your hand in behind the bumper and twist the fixture that holds the bulb.
You should be able to access them/it from under the fender
You'll probly have to pull the innner fender well cover loose to get to the bulb.
