Does anybody with a 05 blazer 4.3 litre have good luck with gas milage. My son has one and only manages to get 15-17 mpg. He has got 18'000 kilo's on the truck. The dealership told him after 12,000 kilo's he would get close to 20 - 23 mpg.

lots of city driving will kill the mileage. everyones mpg will be slightly different because of their driving style and the area they drive in. i do mostly city driving in my 2000 and there are a ton of traffic lights wher i live so i only get 12-14mpg and im pretty easy on the gas. gas used in the winter also hurts mileage. i got my truck in sept (summer gas was still in use) and before the mods i made i got 16mpg. again everyones will be different but 15-17 is decent fuel economy for that truck.

wac,

15 to 18 MPG city is average for his truck, HWY average is 20 to 24
His driving and the truck conditions will dictate the actual MPG.. Also the Crappy winter blend fuel til mid April help's lower the MPG's

not to hijack the thread or anything, but what's different about winter gas and summer gas? i never even knew there were 2 different types, but I have noticed as well that my gas mileage sucks and has since it got cold out.

Ryan,
Winter Blend gasoline has Antifreeze additives added to it til about the middle of April, plus your MPG's take a big hit when you sit everytime warming up your car.
