Carbon Build Up??????

I have a 99' C230K. My check engine light went on and its giving me the code P0410, which is the secondary air injection system. Where does the carbob biuld up usually??? If I wanted to clean out the carbon build up, is it hard to do??? I would appriciate any help... Thank you....
