Hi,
As today was extremely cold, I turned on my car and then accidentally turned on the windshield wiper. the wipers came up about 1/4 of the way and got stuck with periodically going about an inch up and an inch down. I noticed that there was a lot of frozen ice on the beginning part of the wiper and cleaned it off and was able to push the wipers back down. i cleaned up the windshield and when i turned on the wiper again to check if they were working they stopped again at the same place with the same going up an inch and down an inch. I pushed it back again. I need to know what could be the problem, could it be the motor's damaged, or soemthing else also what would be the cheapest way to treat it. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Probably what happened is one of the little joints came apart on the motor-to-wiper linkages. Not much of a problem to snap back together, once you remove the cowling (or whatever) to get to linkages.

You might want to change out your wiper relay as well. Ford has a service bulletin out when you use the intermediate wipers they stop half way once you release the lever. Cheap fix at $10.99 at your local parts store. located in the junction box at the bottom of the driver side.
