hi, i was wondering for my alterntor to battery wire i heard that you should fuse it. now which size fuse should i use for a 200 amp alternator with a yellow top ( i decided to break down and get the yellow top) and with my calculations at full volumei will be using 181 amps.

IF i remember right the guy on sounddomain said somehwta bigger than your alternators capability. ID say 300 amp since you can get current surges. Im sure paul or vinny would know better. I didnt fuse mine, yet. Not saying there wont be problems cause anything can happen.

you should fuse it closest to the battery. i would use 200 amp because a fuse can take much more than it's rated value for short periods. that's just my opinion though, someone smarter feel free to correct me.

200-300A sounds good to me ...... remember, fusing is to protect the car NOT the stereo equipment. An OEM system would fuse a 200A alternator with a 200A fuse.

Looks sweet. I usually get all my stuff like that off ebay, since its alot cheaper. Its all similar, tsunami, stinger, kicker, there all pretty much the same along the lines of install gear.

Looks just like one of the fuse holders i have on my main power cable thats made by kicker, except the kicker ones are gold contacts.
