i have a 92 eagle talon that i just bought, the guy said its perfectly fine. The truth was it has a broken head gasket. Anyways, i was able to drive it and didnt find out it has a broken head gasket cause i couldnt tell until later on. i put a brand new after market steering wheel and turbo timer ( i think i mess up putting the turbo timer becuase when i was putting the battery it sparks out of no where, the turbo timer wasn't grounded btw). So when i got everything on right, the car wont start. I check the battery/alternator and they said it was good. so i put it back and still wont start. light is working fine except when i put the key on the ignition and turn it, there's no light comes out on the dash board and when i turn it all the way to start the car, it does totally nothing!. not even a click. so im thinking im mess up the ecu when i put the turbo timer without the ground on the first try, u think its the ecu or maybe the head gasket acting up? ( oh i change the spark plug/spark plug wires) PLS HELP!

Check all of the fuses. You probably blew the ignition control fuse.

Engine fuse? If your going to echo a response, atleast make it seem like you know what your talking about. There are fuses to certain electrical components in the engine bay, not a fuse that controls the engine.

ok i feel stupid now. I checked all the fuses except those 4 fuses. So yah your right, it was the ignition fuse and the battery was low. I went to kragen to charge the battery and few days later i installed it with a new use ignition fuse ( i know it works cause i swap it with my 90 plymouth laser. Still... it wont start. When i turn the key half way the light's work fine and when i turned it all the way to start the car and still nothing happen, it wont even try to start. Few try later.... i turn the key half way and the lights on the dash board is gone! no freaking lights at all! and when i start it nothing but my fart that i could hear! so im thinking swapping the ecu when i have time.

Are the battery connections good? Sounds like you may have a loose connection.

My brother said perhaps its the battery so im gonna try to buy a brand new battery since that one is an old one and i dont know how long its been since i just bought the car couple months ago. And yes, the battery and the connector are secured and tight. Im gonna install it early tomorrow morning!:disappoin *wish me luck!*

Get it tested first before you go out and buy a new one.

I would be cracking open the ECU and make sure you didn't burn up any of the traces. You also want to take a really good look at the caps while you are in there. They almost always leak on 1g's and need to be replaced before the leak on the board. Look for them to be swollen or leaking.

Even if they aren't leaking, I would still send out the ECU and have the caps replaced. It's not too expensive and can save you an ECU down the road.

Oh, and here is a good diagnosis write up for no start issues:
