Dancing Guages

I have a 1999 Suburban LT and the gas guage AND oil pressure guage both dance around alot. The gas guage will go WAY past the full mark and the Oil Pressure guage will not read anything at all most of the time. Every once in a while when the vehicle is stationary the guages will "seem" to read properly but I do not know if those are actual readings. Any suggestions on where to begin with this problem is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

go ahead and replaced the fuel pump and float comb in your tank
only way to fix bad gas gauge.....
possible cheap fix on oil gauge replace the oil sending unit under your hood
hopefully that will fix it ......good luck

Not the fuel pump it is the wiring harness from the fuel pump to the connector on top of the assy. Or at least it was in my case, everyone replaces the pump and forgets the little P.O.S. harness.
