93 Taurus GL 3.0 Interior Electrical

When I shut the car off I hear a buzzing/whining sound that seems to be coming from the rear driver side area, the interior lights are on very dimly. When I open any door the buzzing stops and the lights go back to normal. With the car running all the interior lights stay on, also very dimly. When I open the door while running the lights return to normal until I take the key out and shut the door then the buzzing/whining returns. If I leave the battery hooked up the car dies, this sound never stops until I disconnect the battery. Also the heater blower works while the car is off. Any Ideas on what circuit I should start with?
Recently my back hatch window was busted out, I was wiondering if the exposed defroster wires would have any effect on this. Any ideas would help I have not started troubleshooting yet due to the blizzards going on.
