With all of the snow and ice we had i had a wiper problem yesterday. Luckily i took it apart and the drivers side linkage came loose from the pivot ball of the passenger linkage. I popped it back on but it comes loos rather easily. It did not look like the plastic piece that locked in place was replaceable but the isuzu site lists 2 of them. Does anyone know how these come off and the difference between these 2 parts. thanks

the long answer: on http://www.myisuzuparts.com/ if you put each of those parts numbers in the "Part # Search: " box at the top left of the page, you will get a a list of a whole slew of applications by model and year for each a part number. for your application, click on the <camera icon> and you will get an illustration with that part's callout in yellow. click on it, then scroll down the list of parts under the illlustration until you come to the highlighted part.
instead of clicking on the <camera icon> you can click on the <? icon> and you will get a complete list of every application for that particular part number.

the parts illustration should show you exactly what part you are looking for.

need more help?

i will get the part and then take it back apart. It was late last night when i was trying to fix it and i didnt want to break it since i didnt know if it was replacable. Luckily i didnt put the wiper shroud all the way back together. I put like every other bolt in to hold the plastic piece in place until i figured out what to do. It is working fine now but i know when i least expect it, it is bound to pop back off. I will go ahead and get the part, it is not expensive at all and tear it back apart and try a little harder to get it out.

yes they are replaceable...the reason there is 2 part numbers for them is because they are 2 different plastic clips that takes all of 5 minutes to replace...i only know this because i just replaced mine yesterday...wifey forgot to pull the wipers from the windshield when starting the car and the clips broke. each part should run you no more than 3.50 each.

I got the parts yesterday but they were not the right parts. They were the seals that go on the pivot ball. Are these platic clips available separately?? They are the ones that go in the linkage that clips onto the transmissons of the wipers. Does anyone have a part #?

if i am not mistaken it would be part # 12 in the 3b block. It is the plastic part that connects the linkage arm 2a to the ball stud of the transmission

I have read in some of the forums that you cant just buy the plastic part on 2nd gens, you have to buy the whole arm. I have no personal experience on this though. When you get yours fixed let us know :)

Recently my left wiper stopped working. Upon opening the wiper shield i found arm was snapped off from linkage assembly. Unfortunately there is no short cut you have to purchase the whole assembly and that is only available from dealer. I ordered mine from st. chares for about $45 and paid $50 get it installed.

that is what i am finding out. I work for honda and we have a service center that i can get the part from. it just sucks to have to replace the whole thing for a $2 part. I have it snapped back on and it has been working for about a week but i know it will come off when i need it. I guess i will just buy the whole assembly and put it on.:banghead:
