DUDE!!! I feel your pain!!! Don't worry about it. The only time my light turns on is when the oil pressure goes way down (IE: no oil in the engine) BUT, and this is a big BUTT, the oil pressure sender can go bad, and it is not uncommon. Very common on the diesels actually. I pluged a oil pressure sender upto the the socket where the sending unit hooks up... If you know anything about cars and racing and crap, you know what oil pressure should be. I'll tell you right now... I WAS IDLING AT 30PSI!!! HOLY SHIT! I'll tell you what... My dad use to race stock cars. We had a Ford V8 460 in that mutha, and it only idled at 23 or so psi. LOL, big explanation for a very minor problem. I know that a blinking red light can get annoying, so... all you have to do is replace the oil pressure sending unit... I think they are only about 15 bucks.

You should still get a new pressure sender switch and take no chances. $12.99
