Blower Motor Vibrating

I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT. Needless to say we had a blizzard yesterday and I managed to get home after work last night. On my way home, There were many small drifts in the roadway, nothing big though. About half way home the blower motor started vibrating. Everything works properly and 1-5 is fine, but it is just really annoying. I opened the hood up today and noticed some snow and ice packed around the bottom of the firewall. Could snow/ice be causing this vibration? Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to AF!!

If it is a loud noise on all settings you probably need to lubricate the bearing in the motor on the assembly. This happens, usually when it is cold and can be quite annoying. To get to the fan, remove the passenger seat and get way up under the dash. Remove the three bolts and it will come right out. Lubricate the area under the fan with oil or lithium grease and it should run much quieter. You can also check for obstructions while you have the fan out. Good Luck!!
