The model:
Doesn't has too much flaws..Or mold lines. It has a quite good modelling, really looks good... I once heard that this model is rare. Is it true?? 'Cause I got this brand new one really cheap!!!

The paint is lacquer. Flat top is acrylic. Gunze doesn't sell enamel paint. Looks like a nice kit... another to my wish list...
I just wish that the models stores in Taiwan where more like the one in your pic.

Good job so far
Even if it already shines I would clear coat it or polish it a bit. It will give you an even better result.
This kit becomes rare only because it's not produced anymore. I shoud buy one more to build it stock.

Same bottling= same type paint.
And it's gloss.. check a little left to the color of paint.. GLOSS :p
So far Gunze has 3 types of bottling. 1.Flat top + Hobby Color Labeling= acrylic. 2.Top that you have there+Mr. Color labeling.(with a knob maybe?? figuring how to discribe it lol)=lacquer 3.Flat top with small label (Blue or black colored caps)+ Super Metalic labeling (It's about 1 cm Taller than the other 2.. not including the knob part)= Metalic lacquers.
Gunze lacquers spray surprisingly well, I use them a lot. They're the cheapest type of good quality paint that I can get.

Steve

Heya'll again!! Thanks everyone for the kind comments!! The feedback was completely unexpected! Thanks again!
I just didin't replied before because I wanted to reply with an update...Wich was kind of hard. But today,I woke up and decided to try to finish the damn thing.
(Oooh, and about the model shop,I wanna make you guys "happy" :p That is just an section of the modelling sector of a shopping center. There was still the military models, the planes, the boats, and the supplies!! The REAL Hobby shop has 3 sections or more just on cars :grinyes: )
So,onto the updates.
A long time ago,I primered the chassis...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC04661.jpg
And then the disaster happened. I was wetsanding the model,I sanded the A pillar, and some paint was removed!! So I had to give it some more coats.
I applied them today,it was such a nice day outside...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05470.jpg
I gotta say. I LOVED this paint!!
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05471.jpg
And I painted the chassis too!
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05472.jpg
And then,I cleaned the AB,and putted some German gray on it,and sprayed in the interior...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05473.jpg
And to the interior parts...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05474.jpg
After the paint dried,I went inside to put it togheter..
And I noticed: In the German Gray bottle of ACRYLIC paint it's written FLAT. To my surprise, look at the dashboard...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05475.jpg
IT SHINES!!! (well,it doesn't shine as much as the bodyparts, but it shines!!)
What the heck have I done wrong? Was the thinner I used? Hmmm...
Well,so many people complaining about their acrylic not shining, and I get an paint wich is written flat, and the paint shines! AHHHH! (That doesn't mean I didin't liked the result! :icon16: )
After few *cough* minutes,I finished the chassis...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05476.jpg
Here's a mock up:
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05477.jpg
How'zit for a stance?

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05479.jpg
I Dont know if its noticeable, but I lowered it.
And,right after it,I started the interior, and finished it.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05481.jpg
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05482.jpg
(See in the picture above: the dash still shines!)
And here's how'zit right now:
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05483.jpg
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05484.jpg
Look into my eyes...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05485.jpg
...And say if my exaust is clean. :icon16:
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05486.jpg
And here's one observation to anyone that is going to build this model: Pay attention in the speedometer decal!! It has PRND321 writted on it!! And the car has a manual shifter on it!
Damn,I'm really enjoying this one! This week I will not go to school,so expect updates!! I didn't order PE dust, and some of them landed on the model!! So i gotta sand them off....
Thanks for visiting! Comments appreciated...

that is one nice build you have going there. you have a really nice stance, but the tires seem a bit large for the rim/wheel well. if you could find some nice mesh 17"rims with low profile tires, it would sing like the angels!
you are doing great, and thank you for building V-DUB!!!!
edit:
here in the U.S. that kit is none to rare, but quite abundant. most of the time it can be had for around $10-15 (US). but it is none the less a fine kit.

Thanks for the comments!
Here are some minor updates:
I bmf'ed the headlights: (Don't worry if they look like they have swirls: it's just the reflection!)

Oh,and look what came with the kit! I never saw something like this before on a kit! :

Cool,eh? :p
Now,a little story. While I was vacuumin (?is it right?) my room,I sucked one side mirror inside the vacuum. DAMN!
Then I tought I had one mirror. So,the thing happened: I lost the other one,I don't know how. So,I had to make new ones.
The Hasegawa Civic mirrors would fit nicely, but they are just too small!
And the Fujimi CTR mirrors are in the right size, but they don't have supports!
As a good little modeller,i tried making them! :naughty:
The grey mirrors are the Hasegawa Civic ones: As you can see,I sawed a part of the mirror off,and let the support alone: So,we got a support! And the white things are the Fujimi mirrors:

Ater a little bit of work,I had sawed both mirrors, and puttied a part of the CTR mirrors,to make them look a bit better:
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05541.jpg
And this is the almost finished piece: Still needs some putting, sanding, priming, and painting! But that's just some minor work...
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC05542.jpg
As you can see, some putting and sanding will be required to make the support to fit onto the body! But,what the heck! :uhoh:  :cwm27:

Sorry for the blurry pics!
Comments and suggestions appreciated!
EDIT: Oops, sorry, some pics were missing! But everything is uploaded now!

those GTR rims look really good on there. they might need to be narrowed a bit to get them under the fender lip. the headlight buckets look great with the BMF.
keep up the great work.
