16g Turbo Questions

I have a 92 Talon TSi AWD. I'm currently in the market for a 16g. Does anyone know which 16g is best and what is a 16g turbo psi range?
Thanks!
Mike

Well here is a good page that goes through all the differances between them.

In my opinion the MHI EVO III 16G is the best, but it really depends on what your horsepower goals are.

EvoIII 16G is the best bang for your buck, or best "potential" for your buck in your case. It's a sweet turbo, and isn't much more than the other 16g's (if you buy all new).

Just dont get an eBay Evo III 16g and you should be fine. Get it from a reputable shop and you will be good.

I guess I too would say get an MHI Evo III 16g. As far as boost pressure goes, it all depends on your setup. If you are on stock fuel system and intercooling, I wouldnt run more than like 12 pounds. Get an adaquate fuel system and some decent intercooling and like 18 psi should be a good street boost pressure.

so basically i would need at least 550cc injectors and 190lph fuel pump to see more then 12 psi?

I would, yes. Dont forget fuel control and data logging. A turbo should be one of the last mods you do, otherwise you risk major problems. DSMlink is far superior to a SAFC + pocket logger combo, but the SAFC + pocketlogger is cheaper. One of those, a 190, and 650cc injectors (just to be safe) is what I would do for running a 16g. Also, a 3" exhaust, boost guage, and a boost controller are things you should do before you worry about slapping a turbo on. Where not entirely needed, a FMIC is another thing I would recommend before you do the work of tuning the car with the 16g.
