Transmission Problems

Ok...i was driving earlier and when i tried to shift into 5th gear it wouldnt go up...i have an '89 Civic Si. I found out later that i dont have any reverse either. I can go through the gears, from first to fourth. then i move the shifter up and to the right...and thats it...it wont go up or down. it just stays there. please help...ASAP
