looking for help on my 2.8 engine

My truck will start up and idle like you pulled it off the lot but when you hit the throttle it boggs don and or dies, what are a couple of things that i can check to hopefully get rid of this problem. Thanks for your time.

We need a little more info on this. What year, is it a carburated, fuel injected, what year? If it is fuel injected, you need to check the system for trouble codes. Let us know first, and everyone here will have a better idea on how to try to help you.
