Wow... turbo install and a whole new paint job. Someone has a nice paying job. I am going nuts this winter sitting on a wad of cash and not being able to do anything with it besides keep saving more and more for this paint job which is going to cost more than the value of my friggen car... :disappoin

$3500-4K Just to repaint the entire car, wing, door handles, outer portion of the mirrors, and fix some spots that are starting to bubble in the bottom door seams in Arctic white, nothing fancy.

I might have to find my t3/t4 paper weight a new home at this rate.

ha yea right high paying job i wish....$8.50 n hour under the table is kno where near high paying lmao. But i do kno the right people when it comes to body and paint work.

road construction is definately where it is at though....$18.50/hr for the summer....i have to pay for college too so dont think i can just dump all that into my car. I save about $5k for school, $2k for random and spend the rest. Its a good time, but it sucks balls....This summer i might be saving a lot more than that too because if all goes as planned, i might be attending a different college in the fall...in Brisbane Australia. If so, i'm selling the GSR and getting something while im there for the year (or more). I'll have about $15k to spend...what do you think i should get ;)

Damn, I work for Honda (building mini vans), and I make $12.00 on day shift, and $12.60 on night shift and I'm still broke :( I guess that's what happens when you spend $575 on a body kit (which will be here monday), $700 on an audio setup, $160 on an alarm, and a bunch of other stuff including suspension parts. This is the fartherest I've gone with modding a car. Can't wait till the summer to get it all on and painted :)

if you would have scratched the body kit and audio system, you could have done something to make it faster...personally i dont get the obsession some people have with body kits..i think they look horrible...

I make $8/hr at Advance Auto Parts while attending college. 13ish hours a week... This summer i am looking into a labor job. Now that i am actually away from home, i can't work full time and go to school full time. My only bills are cell phone and car insurance. However, i did a lot of my big projects last summer ( urethane body kit, rims and tires)...this year i've stuck to the concept of loving women in a non-binding sexual way has done wonders on my bank accounts. :)

Thanks for stating the obvious, but I got a deal on both the body kit and the audio setup I couldn't pass up. The kit I have for the car is a Kaminari kit which does not take away from the curves of the car. It doesn't look a whole lot different from stock. I'm working on a budget here, and when I find a deal I'm going with it, weather it is for performance parts or visual/audio parts.

G/f's are over rated... Sure they are fun for a while. I was in a relationship for 3 years, been happy with friends with benefits ever since. Especially in college, my baby is all nice and tucked away 80 miles away while i screw around here on campus. But thats just me.

You couldn't figure out how to remove your lower blinkers/headlights and you want a turbo charger?

I can tell you from experience that boosting an NA car is not the easiest thing in the world. People seem to think that you just slap it on and go, but there is more to it than that. Once you modify your car like that, you're on your own when you have problems because not many repair shops will do anything for you. Also, people underestimate the cost involved. I have about $4k into my setup alone....sure you can do it for less, but its going to be less reliable. Also, if you're not able to install it yourself, you can add another $1k onto that price at least
