Snow in Cowl

I am having problems driving in the wintertime when there is a lot of snow. The windshield wipers push the snow into the cowl, so when i turn off my wipers, they compact the snow and the blades won't recess. Is there an easy fix or half-assed solution to this, like a heater or something for this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Harley

Not that I know of, but I know exactly what you mean. Seems like the snow and ice packs that space between the windshield and hood completely full of ice. Can't hardly dig the wipers out of there. I trashed one wiper blade trying to break it loose. This morning, I started it and the windshield cracked all of the way across at the bottom. Two weeks ago, the same thing happened to our other 97 Lesabre. We now have 2 Lesabres with cracked winshields. Fortunately, the cracks are low in the winshields and not across the field of vision.

It is a really annoying problem, although i've found that if you raise your hood up you can get all the snow out easily. however it sucks to have to stop to fix your wipers every 20 minutes when its snowing really hard. So an electric waterproof heater would be awesome
