A/C problem

My A/C only works when the switch is on high. It works perfect on high but the other settings don’t work. Everything seems to be working I just don’t get any air to come out in the low and medium settings. I changed the selector switch thinking it was bad and nothing changed. Any suggestions?

There is a resistor array mounted on the evap housing under the hood. This resistor array controls the speeds that aren't high. There's a chance there's a problem here, more than likely the connector needs to be wiggled a bit.

Thanks for the response. Do you know if that is the same on a ’93? The picture looks like a late 80’s model and if I’m not mistaken mine has a different setup from the picture. I think the setup I have has to relay looking little boxes. Could that be it? Thanks again.

Yes, it's a late 80's setup. And it is different on the '91-up, but I don't have much experience with those so I can't tell you specifically where yours is.

You didn't tell us what the year of your car is and so I assumed - you know what happens when you assume ...

That’s fine, at least now I have a starting point. Let's see if I can find it in my car. Thanks.
