All differences between GASE and GAGT?

I'm wondering what the differences between the GASE and GAGT are OVERALL, and also PERFORMANCE wise. Mainly, performance. What does the GAGT have, PERFORMANCE WISE, that makes it faster than the GASE? I know the tranny's gear ratio is one, but what else? Thanks :D

Well not much realy.
The trans, 4t40E is on the SE , 4t45e in the GT.

The exhaust(stock) is larger on the GT and has dual outs instead of single like the SE.

Also the Air/fuel ratios are higher on the GT.
Some suspension components are larger on the GT,
like the sway bars, springs.
The GT has Disc brakes in the rear instead of Drums.

Check in the parts lists I put up in the Tips & maintenance (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=2148)section.
IT's all broke down with pics there

Performance differences:
SE - 170 HP WIth the 3.4L
GT -175 HP with the 3.4L
Mainly they both have the same engine, but the GT has Ram Air induction which is supposed to give it 5 more extra horses. IMO the SE is alot quicker then the GT for all the GT's and SE's I've ever driven.
The SE also had the 4cyl with an optional standard trans as well.
The GT has a "sport suspension" mainly it's a little lower and tighter then the SE.

Appearance: The GT has better trim details, such as leather ( if equipped), audio control on steering wheel ( if equipped), Leather wrapped steering wheel, SC/T Appearance package ( if equipped), Body kit/ moldings, dual exhaust outlets. Sun roof ( if equipped) and upgraded audio.

In all honesty if i had the chance to do it over, I would have bought an SE instead of the GT.

well my SE pretty much has everything replaced that would have been the difference between the two... except the PCM to adjust fuel/air ratios and the disc rear brakes and tranny and sway bars... ok i guess that isn't pretty much everything, but still... lol

The manual trans was only available for a couple years w/2.4 or 2.2L .

Also grfnkl, leather options were available in some of the SE's and the audio controls are on both as well.
Both models had the Monsoon stereo if the leather package was purchased.

Again this is all listed in the Tips & maintenace :grinyes:

I like the GT body kit better then the SE's.

Ya Vipey the GT is tuned a little different,
I dont like this right now because my GT is getting about 18-20mpg :disappoin :shakehead

I bet none of you have seen a 99+ GA with the "OAK" trim package :grinno:
My aunt in Ohio has a 99' GT with the perk package.
All the bells and whistles and has the Oak trim package.
Might even hav Onstar built into the rear view mirror. :gay:
