trailer wiring for a 2007 Vue

I'm putting on a trailer hitch on my 2007 Vue and need to figure out wiring. I usualy just buy from one of the online places like ehitch or jcwitney.

Does this car have a wiring hookup built in or do I need to buy power converter type setup?

I have been told conflicting reports.

Anybody wire a 2007 yet? I'm wondering what you did.

right by your jack, in the rear, there is a taped up set of wires. off the top of my head i think they are yellow, blue, green, brown, and red. these wires are for the taillamp ckts. factory harness' tie in there. they are folded so you have plenty of wire to work with. you'll see what i mean when you see it.

This is for my in-laws car that I don't have with me right now so thanks for the information.

Yes I found out about the factory tap. I'll have to look around for one. Issue is that the dealership wants ~$150 for this silly tap. That's just robbery.
