Man, my wife bought an 07 Equinox 9 days ago, and, thus, I joined an Equinox forum.
Boy, what a bunch of whiny bastards! They complain about things like
Well after getting sick and tired of fixing her GMC Jimmy, and the stupid air pump the next thing that was going,I got sick of it nickel and diming me too death, even though 90,000 on the odo was not that much, she was starting too fall apart, the inside was still A+ (imagine that ) and so was the paint and the outside, but mechanically she was starting too just fall apart, withen the last two months:
New fuel Pump
New fuel injection Spider
Tune up
Going:
Secondery air pump
Ball joints
Tires
That all sounds pretty routine, to me. That, and soccer moms asking about how much the dealer would charge to use synthetic oil at her next oil change.
Dee dee dee!
Anyway, thanks, guys for not being a bunch of morons.

Very routine. Shit most people replace that stuff well before 90K miles.
All of that combined is just a few grand at most. I guess he still has faith in Chevy though.

Hell I only have about 70,000 miles on mine and in the last 2 - 2 1/2 months it has cost me almost $3,000. New rear shocks, new steering box, inner tie rod end, right front hub assembly, thermostat and housing, rear calipers, rear rotors, rear pads. That's just what has been done, the front shocks need to be replaced, windshield needs to be repaired (new in fall) passenger side view mirror needs to be repaired (mishap while backing into garage).............. I think that is all of it.......

Sheeeot, man, hell no. I took it back to walmart; I bought it to sell, and I got mine right before every store hadlike a bazillion of them just sitting there.
POS.

Amazing what people will whine about hey?
I was just thinking the other day of the things I want/should do to my truck this year, new shocks all the way around, maybe new rear leafs, I did the brakes last year with new plugs. It's alll just maintenance....
Funny how SUV owners are a little different than truck owners...

Not really, well not in my family. If my parents ever owned anything other than a Chevy for the rest of their lives I'd be very surprised.
Although I would by my dad a TR6, his car from his early 20's. And my mom would love to have a Mercedes (fat chance, the one she wants is into the 6 figure range.

Speaking of rear suspension, I SEVERELY overloaded my Silverado this summer (entire pallet of shingles), and now it squeaks when I go over a bump or something. Any ideas?

I did the same thing this past summer. Overloaded it a bit and it broke off the little plastic (or what ever they are made of) pad off that seperates the end of the leaf springs from hitting the one next to it in the pack. Check to see if all of yours are there.
