Why wont my lights turn off?

The switch is in the off position but the lights are on all the time... dash lights tail lights and fog lights.... its almost like the sensor thinks its dark out and is keeping them on. Is there some sensor thats gone? or something? I dont know... any help would be appreciated. Its only when the car is running, they do go off when i turn the car off....

What year and model GP do you have. I had the same problem with my 2000 GP SE and it turned out to be the sensor in the dash that detects light level was going bad. On the drivers side of the dash board there is an access panel that will give you access to a relay that you can disconnect the connection but will still allow the automatic lights to come on after dark and allow the use of the driving lights when you want to turn them on. If you do a search on this issue you shouldfind a link that has picutres of that relay. Good luck.

I went out today and they seemed to be fine. Go on when its dark, turn off when its bright enough out... it just seemed to be that one day which was weird.
