thanks, i got lucky. Bought it at an auction @ oceanside and nobody was really interested. The last auction i went to had a 89 hatch that was beat up and it went for $1850. Thats why I was so happy when i won the bid. I was saving and trying to buy a 240 for about 3 months till i finally got this one. I am so happy and my fiancee is too. Although i shouldve went with white rims, wouldve looked better with my girls wedding dress, LOL.

I am the 2nd owner and it seems that either a college teacher or student (female) drove this thing. Everything is stock and clean! no salvage title, no cracks on dash. Got a little rust spots but its ok, im gonna paint the car later. Only thing that i wanted to do with this car were the rims and baby it. So im pretty much done with this. No more mods till i get another 240, (having a hatch would be awesome) im not gonna do the same mistake twice.

Well ill probably change the muffler, thats the only thing thats not stock. What do you guys recommend??

well right to the point here is mine 240sx. bought a week ago. it has 120K on it 1000miles away from 130K. I bought it for 3500. but i am happy with the shape its in. and no major accident. however i do need to change the rear sub-frame bushing to get rid of the clunk noise. and fuel tank floater. if you could tell me how much are those gonna cost it will be great. anyhow here are the pics.

so anybody know how much does it cost to replace the rear sub-frame bushings? and O2 sensor?

o2 sensor - call your local napa.

subframe bushings - visit/call SPL parts and get some. not expensive at all (splparts.com) runs anywhere from 75 bucks to 150, depending on how you want to tune your rear suspension.

fuel pump float - you have to buy the whole in-tank sending unit. a hundred or so dollars. again call your local napa.

Yeah it really needs alot of work. The history can explain the 1000 horsepower stickers. It had a couple of D1 stickers on it I took off. Hopefully in a month Ill have it painted black with NO 1000 hp stickers.

Going for drift, were having alot of events now so it will give me a hobby on the weekends. Right at the moment I just want to get it to pass emissions..... Need to get a new cat probably, have the exhaust leak fixed due the previous owner not properly installing the headers.. Needs front bumper supports, headlights, couple other small things Plus Im getting alot of things replaced for free, and the guys that sold it to me is helping out also. Oh and to answer the SR or KA question, right now I have an option of buying a black top locally for cheap but Im still deciding on that just because of emissions (I dont have another daily driver at the moment).

took 5 months of me working everyday (after hours) and weekends to get it to this point. Ive spent probably just over $1000CDN on it, including what I bought it for, and the paint.

hehe, engine bay looks pretty ghetto right now, custom intake (half a stock intake with random peices missing and a few holes here and there, completed with black duct tape), no fan shroud so wires/hoses are zapstrapped to different things, I finally cut my exhaust shield off since all the bolts were broken off and it was rattling around in there, painted mani silver so it doesnt look like ass, not to mention everything is dirty since its a DD and I park in a gravel parking lot. The engine is my next project, seeing how the body is pretty much mint now. 99% rust free.

So I cleaned up the new head+camshaft today, thinking about painting it. My first idea was anodized blue. My valve cover is black, and Im gonna paint the letters/numbers blue, so this might look sharp.

But sub frame collars are an easy, cheap, and awesome mod that everyone should do.

If you can find your dick you can install them, and they really tighten up the rear end.

white S14s are sweet! what brand of subframe collars did you go with?

I think they were purchased from SPL Parts, but dont hold me too it, they were given to me for free.

Any brand will do tho, ebay even, you cant mess these up lol

Edit: just got a test pipe today, exhaust will be on shortly. Getting tires, rear brake lines, rear rotors, possibly calipers soon. Am pricing all my options currently. Then it will be ATLEAST driveable haha. SHould be fun even with stock motor for the time being. Completely gutted 240 with decent suspension, lsd, and fair brake setup. Ill probably get some stock motor drifting fun before the years over.........i miss rwd so badly. Damn fwd scion is getting old, need to have some fun.
