Can you put the M90 supercharger (or the one that fits a 1997 Grandprix) on a 3.8L non supercahrged engine? Its all stock.

I am pretty sure you can but you will also have to change alot of other things as well. You cant just slap it on and go...

NO!!!
The 3.8 Non-SC is not equipped for the supercharger. The compression is too high and the transmission is not heavy duty. You would need a host of parts to do the conversion including a new fuel pump, PCM, transmission, axle shafts, injectors, fuel rail and others. I suggest you modify the normal 3.8 in other ways if you want the extra power. Or purchase a GTP!

If you do a top end swap you can put an m-90 s/c on a N/A 3.8. You'll get more power out of an L36 because of the gearing...its a proven fact. But like GTP Dad said your better of buying a gtp, it will take a lot of money rebuliding the tranny and buying other parts needed for it. I would look into a turbo for an L36 (NA 3.8) you'll get a lot more power w/ a turbo.
