93 stalls

My 93 lincoln town car will start and run for a few minutes and then it will just quit and it won't start again until I let it set for quite a while. It runs for a couple of minutes when it does run. It cranks real good. Any ideas. Have put new plugs, EGR valve, fuel filter. Thanks

Check for vacuum leaks. There's a few large hoses from the throttle body that will crack with age. You wont see the cracks till you bend the hoses. Also the "Tee's" and hose connectors are brittle and may have broken. Best to get new "T's" and other plastic connectors when the hose is replaced.

The EGR passages should be cleaned out. Their definitely clogged if you've not done this cleaning yet.

The hoses going to / coming from the IAC Valve will be carbon fouled by now too.

Fuel pressure should be checked. It would be a bummer to go through tons of other stuff and then find out the Fuel Pump is failing.

Are you seeing a Check Engine Light? If so, those codes will be helpful.

I bought a code scanner and came up with 3 codes. One was the TPS so I just replaced it. The other codes were the Pressure feedback EGR sensor and the EGR Valve Regulator/solenoid. I had replaced the EGR valve regulator a couple months ago so thought it would probably be the TPS but so far I have't even been able to start it. Wouldn't the fuel pump show up in the codes if it was bad? Also how do you clean the EGR passages and where is the IAC valve located? Is it hard to clean out the EGR passages? What do I need to take off?:frown: :shakehead Thanks

I'm not too sure where the IAC is in 1993... I'll have to do some research. My 1996 is mounted on the backside of the cylinder head, passenger side.
