Help please!
I have a volvo 850 Turbo with 133,000 miles. It is very cold here - 20 degrees Fahr. Car starts, idles with a some knocking, drives for about 5 minutes, then dies. Everything stops and it is hard to use the brakes.
It will then start up and go for about 2 minutes....dies.
Starts up, runs for about 15 seconds and dies.
The coolant light was on and we put more fluid in.
I pulled the dip stick and it is gunky looking - some white areas!
I don't know much about cars, but something tells me that is not good!
Any suggestions...any easy fixes....
Thanky you

Coolant in your oil or oil in your coolant sounds like a blown head gasket. There is no easy fix for that.
