Ranger Squeeking

2000 Ranger XLT 4x4...It's been extremely cold up here the last few weeks and my ranger is squeeking all over the place. The front seems to squeek and screech every time I go over bumps. The rear also. Also the rear seems to squeek when turning. If at a stop, turning the steering wheel causes squeeking. And it all seems to be coming from under the truck. Any ideas on what can be wrong other than a good lube job?

I have the same problem with my 95 ranger. Expessicaly when I start my truck when its cold........I get a high pitch squeal from my engine. Its kind of scary.

Probably nothing to be too concerned about. Usually rubber joints and "O" rings become less plyable during very cold weather. You may try to get a "lube job" just to make sure that you have enough grease where it is needed. As far as the squeal when first starting your truck, it may be from the serpentine belts, either too stiff from the cold or perhaps loose but as long as the squeal goes away, nothing to sweat about.
