Anyone have one of these? What are your thoughts?
I had one a few weeks back and thought that it was one of the best "clutchless" compact cars offered. Quiet and smooth, but not particularly quick.

I know a lot of die hard HX fans.
The CVT transmission is a marvel of an automatic, mainly because it, helps to produce good gas mileage. But, The manual HX is a prize. As one of my close counterparts reports monthly by way of logging mileage and fill-ups, with the manual trans he gets 50mpg, which is incredable!!
This is partly do to the lean burn Vtec-E system, if you are intrested in it I will provide more info.
The car however is not very good for modifiying due to the equiped emissions system. But when we compare dyno #s between a stock EX
96-00 and a stock HX 96-00 the HX in most cases makes more HP.
It also weighs less, the wheels weigh less. (manual HX vs manual EX)
But the EX can make more HP when modded with I/H/E.
A header on an HX can be tricky, the gearing on the HX is taller,so these are considerations. I say the HX is a better car than the EX in stock form. (Except for the moldings and some other features)
For modding the EX is better.

Heyyo Dezoris! Hmmm I thought I'd find some familiar ppl here...
Yeah, the HX is quite a car. VTEC-E gets you good mileage. :flash:
