Keep your racing activities off the street and on a sanctioned track!

I no close to nothing at all.Your ignorance will get someone killed. At 16 you don't have enough driving experiance to operate an automobile at the speed limit..much less at higher speeds.

Why do you never have enough time or money to do the job right the first time, but enough time and money to do it again?
Got all the certifications

Yes i was 100% planning on going to the tracks. Racing on the street seems where the real fun is, but on a serious note i have to agree, it wouldn't be worth losing it all for. But i would stilll like to upgrade b4 the season, so if possible could i get some recommendations?

click on the performance section of the forum and use the search button. or click on the first one about how to make your car go faster. there are a million things you can do. just search.

Honestly - forget about racing anyone on the street. Not just because it's dangerous and potentially gets you in big trouble, but with a cavalier you dont have much of a chance against anyone anyway.
Yes, even with a bunch of mods it'll still be slower...

Obviously, you are calling me out....
Post your pedigree and then I'll post mine.

If you have the 2.2 motor, don't waste your money on performance parts, just make it look fast.

that hurts lance, you too muff, lol

don't listen to those jealous kids, lol. True a 2.2 Cavi will not go as fast as a 2.2 eco(2002+) or a 2.4. But if that's what you have to work with, then so be it. First off, you being so young probably don't have a lot of money, so I'll start off simple....

Cold air intake / K&N Air Filter
Painting interior parts (Vinyl and Fabric paint from Auto Zone $4.54 per can)
Altezza tail lights
Exhuast system...either catback or just the tip...
adding exterior parts will definetly make your car "look" faster i.e. spoiler, hood scoop, body kit... but those can get rather expensive unless you save up and buy one at a time...

might suggest going to cardomain.com and search cavalier of your year, and see what other people have done.

also going to suggest eBay as a place to buy SOME parts, let me repeat SOME parts... you can get good cheap parts there, but some of their parts are crap... so you should probably check with us first... good luck kid

It's true, there is NO POINT in going with (non boost) performance parts on a 2.2l cav. You're turboing yours so that's cool, I hope you do and it's friggin nuts. But once again there is NO POINT unless you're doing an intake and catback, NO HEADER, header would be a complete waste of money and time installing. If I had my 2.2 all over again would i have bothered with performance stuff?....yes, because i had to learn what NOT to do some how, but If i got another 2.2, Hell no I wouldnt.

Actually 2.2Eco is where it's at. Two turn tables and a microphone.
