I posted a thread at another honda forum asking about tires for my 2001 Civic and got some great reviews on the Yokohama Avids. I bought them a week later only to find they are horrible tires. They ride in rain grooves in such a way that it feels like you're driving in a wind storm.

Anyway, they have a 30 day return policy, so i need advice again. The most important 2 things to me are SMOOTH AND QUIET !! I am not a car enthusiast....this is purly transportation for me. Handling can be average, i don't care. Longevity would be good, but is of little concern compared to quiet and smooth. My choices are narrowed due to the fact that these will be tires i'll get in return for the yoko's, so i'm obviouslly limited to this one store. They are a large chain, but will not likely have all the not so well known "insiders" tires that i know some of you will want to recomend. So please stick to the common well known brands such as Michilin, bridgestone, etc etc.

Thank all.........

I'm riding my 96 TC Cartier. I'm only at 37,000 miles. I'm looking for a softer ride where I'll barely feel the road. I've already put on four P225/60 16's Italian Michelin Semmetry's (http://www.michelinman.com/mastapp/servlet/Controller/site.catalog.TireDetails?tiremodel=templatedata%2F catalog%2Ftires%2Fdata%2FMichelinSymmetry), which made a huge dirfference but we're still not floating on a cloud. I'm thinking the shocks are the next step, Any Recommendations ?
