it's a viper alarm, I don't have a remote to shut it off.
i dont know how to dismantle it. All i've done is unhooked the battery for the night.
anyone know if there's an easy way to remove it, i never use it in the 1st place. I dont care if i have to cut wires or whatever, i just want my car to shut up. :screwy:

Well, you can use the valet switch, it has a preset amount of times you can push it to shut it off. I think its 3 by default, but youll have to look in the book. You can also just cut the wires and be done with it. That is unless it has an immobilizer on the ignition.

well dude it isnt hard to find the brain..it could be located tucked up behind the glove box behind the black heating duct..or tucked away on the drivers side in the left corner up in that area..cant u trace the wire from the starter kill which would be right under ur stealing colum when u remove the fuse panel..? the brain is in there..juss gotta put lil more effort forward to find it and disconnect it. ive wired several alarms and the 2 positions i said is where i always installed um..hard to find and a bitch to get to

Mines under the center console.in front of the shifter and behind the metal frame, under the stereo. Talk about a bitch to find.

disconnect the whole alarm, they splice it into the ignition so open your fuse panel and follow the wires for the alarm to find the brain and undo the alarm

you can unplug it at the brain and have it work....most alarms are cheap whether a good brand or not...I can turn of 99% alarms on the market and drive away without ever having alarm go off again...just an early warning device I rather go with LoJacks!

u cant jus disconnect the brain, an alarm installed suppose to disconnect the ignition circuit until its disarmed an complete the circuit to allow it to start, if u unplg the box the circuit is open an wont start u have to reconnect the wires for the ignition
