Ok, i have a pioneer deck, boss amp and 2 12jenson subs. No matter if the engine is on or off there is a hum or a buzzing or a heart having a heart attack sound.
-engine on the sound is bad but when i turn on the headlamps it goes away almost
-KOEO the sound is worse
-key in accesory position its not too bad
-In all key positions the sound will spike if i use anything electrical in my car eg. i hit the power locks and it will pulsate for a second.
- I have had several amps and subs in there so i don't think its them
-changed my amp ground to a couple different places
-moved rca cables around
-i've grounded my deck to factory and to the chassis with no difference
-When i bring the rca cables close to the deck the subs start to pick up the noise so i think its something with my deck but why is it picking up surges in my whole cars electrical system?
Any ideas will help thanks.

What model pioneer deck do you have? On some of the lower end ones I've seen the rca output get interference from the electrical lines. If it's doing that then it will pick up on any change in the current running through the entire vehicle. A couple of options is if it's a lower end deck buy a higher end pioneer or alpine deck or go to electronic express, circuit city, or radio shack or something and buy a rca noise filter and plug it in behind the radio and connect it in-line with the rca's and connect the wire to a good clean ground point in the dash should take care of the problem. Also might think about upgrading the rca cables to better cables like monster cables zero noise which help to block out electrical noise as well.

It's a DEH-P560MP, i've used different rca cables in there too but I will try the noise filter.

What if you unplud the RCAs at the amp(s) do you still have the noise? I do know that Boss amps usually don't like higher voltage rca inputs like what that Pioneer has.

ground loop isolator they sell them at wal-mart for like 9 dollars get one and the problem will stop also don't run the rca's and power wire on the same side of the vehicle

Well, if you have money to blow then OK. The proper method would be to find what the actual problem is first.

Poorly insulated wires/ too close together. It happens to my car as well. I have a cheap Rockford wiring kit for my sub and a good Knu kit for my front stage. When I remove the sub and amp the interference goes away. Could also be your amp. Boss is a really cheap amp.
