Brake job tools?

I have not done a brake job and a new GM SUV. Do I need any special tools to change the pads?

If you are speaking for a T.B. SUV then not to my knowledge. 18mm for the brackets on the rear that hold the caliper on.

No, there's no torx head caliper pin bolts on these. A good socket set, maybe some open/box end wrenches, a caliper piston compressor or C-clamp, brake cleaner, some good silicone brake grease and some time. I always open the bleed screws prior to compressing the caliper pistons to purge most of the dirty stuff out of the caliper bores, but if the bleeders wont budge easily, skip that procedure.

What pads would you use? OEM? Bendex?

I'm not partial to any one manufacturer. I go with mid to high grade brake parts. OEM pads are usually very good.

No Special tools, other than common sockets set and a hammer - also a C-Clamp to push back the piston.

Be sure to use jack stands.

For the first time job, I do one side complety and then the other side. That way if on the first side, I forgot how somethign goes back together I can use the other side as reference.

I need to do mine in a few months - I generaly just buy new rotors - anybody know how much rotors are for these TB's?
