Radiator Fluid leak? Can't find source.

I pulled my 1997 Chevy 2500 350 5.7liter truck into my driveway and then i hear a hissing sound then white smoke came out from under my hood. I then discoverd Radiator fluid dripping from the bottom rear of the engine block, right behind the oil pan but I don't know where its flowing from. My temp gauge is stuck at 250 and the temp gauge installed only goes up to 195. What happened? The truck runs fine when i started it again but I obviously didn't drive it. I used to live in NY and everything on the truck is to NY specs and living in Florida now the temperatures here are much higher.

Sounds like a pretty common problem... sounds like your thermostat stuck closed and caused excess pressure to blow the intake seal at the back. Its a common leak point on vortecs; at the rear water crossover where the intake meets the head.

hope it is not a soft plug.

as curt said, intake manifold gasket is very common on those. not uncommon to see them leaking every 50K miles
