Thats the exact reason I dont do power clean. That happened to me once, just with a small amount of weight. My friends told me it was a lot and it wasd really hard, well turns out it wasnt and I went right over backwards. There should be enough clearance between the bar and the ground to lay under, at least there was for me. That and one time I was maxing for class in high school and I didnt get my elbows under it good enough, I fell backwards but the bar landed on my knees. Not a good feeling.
