Hello everyone! We bought this car last year for youngest child. We've had a few problems, multifunction switch...and security light-not starting problem. Got those issues fixed, and got some good intel from this forum on these issues. The latest problem is stalling while coasting to a stop. Car started and idled fine in the morning. This only happened after car was driven 20 to 30 highway miles, and since the weather has been below freezing (Michigan). After stall car would start but die immediately if gas pedal was released. If the car was parked for 20 to 30 minutes it would start and idle normally. From previous experience with other makes I suspected IAC valve. When I went to remove the resonator from the top of the throttle housing I found the hose clamp slighlty loose. When I removed the resonator I heard a sloshing sound and found liquid inside. Some of the liquid spilled onto the garage floor and immediately froze (weird). In addition the exterior throttle ring had a thin film of ice on it, and the valve itself was very wet. Took out the IAC, didn't look too bad, but I carefully cleaned it. Got the liquid out of the resonator, carefully melted the ice around the throttle ring, dried the liquid on the throttle valve, and cleaned it, and the IAC orfice. Found the small hose from the resonator to intake totally plugged. Cleaned all that out and replaced the hose. Reassembled everything, making sure all hose clamps were tight and test drove for 2 days now with no problems. I'm thinking that moisture was entering the sytem between the resonator the throttle body, and freezing in the IAC orfice while the car was being driven at highway speeds. When stopping the IAC was frozen and couldn't open, causing the stall. In addition the car has had an ongoing P0442 problem that I have been unable to fix. I cleared the codes during this cleaning procedure, and the code has not come back. Doesn't seem that this would have anything to do with P0442, but who knows? I would appreciate input from anyone with similar experiences, and I will follow up with any reoccurrances. Thanks everyone!

the P0442 is a samll emission leak.
These can be hard to find at times.
Here is a link (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=622473) that'll explain this in more detail.
On the water in the air intake... thats strange!
Unless the air intake was loose and while driving water off the road and car would enter.
Even with out water in there, during realy cold spells, the TB can ice up.
I have a CAI and the throttle gets sticky when its cold.
Also make sure all the hose clamps are tight.

Thanks for the info! I thought all that liquid was strange as well. I just about ponied up for a new IAC valve. Hope just drying everything out works. I did make sure I tightened all the clamps. Thanks again!
