You can upgrade the tranny from the stock tranny to an SI 5 speed tranny, that will give u more pick up. You can get speed cheap upgrades.

To make an Hf faster? Not much, your best bet is an engine swap. There really isnt alot you can do to that engine without reworking it so much that you could have just bought another one cheaper.

:1: Your best bet is an engine swap. The good news is that you already have mpfi. The interior as well as the car itself is rather basic. The engine only has 8 valves. It's an economy car pretty much.
Hey Frodo, do you know if you have to swap the hubs out for a b-series swap with the HF like you have to with the dx or si tranny axles?

True but an 8-valve head isn't going to make any power. And if I remember correctly, you can't swap a different head to an HF block. But to each his own I guess...

Yes. On CRX HF's and Civic STDs you need to swap out the hubs for dx/si ones if you plan on going B-series.
I don't recommend any upgrades for your wimpy D15B6 motor. Don't even waste your time putting on an Si intake, granted its larger and flows better but on your puny ass motor it really ain't worth it. I'd say pick up either a cheap A6 or go b-series, but its really up to you and the money you have.
PS be happy you got yourself an HF, there light and can be quick.

yeah my old hf could drift in the school parking lots just goin around a turn lol the back end would always swing out. the intake was a waste because the intake manifold on that motor is like oreo sized compared to the si.
ls/vtec is cheap!!

ls/v-tec is cheap compared to type-r!!! I don't know in my opinoin here in Tampa my car cost me 1500 (I have an hf too) and even just going ls/v-tec would still mean at the very least another 1500 coming out of pocket! I'm just swapping in a d-something with v-tec (most likely an A6) and building a backyard turbo setup but like they said to each his own...
