Taurus is back

Less than a year after the last Fleet Taurus was produced Ford reintroduces their best selling sedan back to the public.

...and ppl wonder why Ford is having problems ! They can't even get tehy names right. Taurus has a fairly respectable history and they wanted to shelve it. I guess now that Ford 500 sales are languishing some bonehead finally figured out th ebrand recognition does count for something ! SO..give the Ford 500 guy a pink slip & give the Ford Taurus guy a raise.

Personally I don't consider the Taurus a good car but it has good value.

The American auto industry better start doing something spectacular because January 07 Ford sales down 19% and GM sales down 9.5%. No doubt the AFA boycott caused Ford to lose sales and I don't know why GM sales went down. I am not encouraging anyone to participate in the boycott but just sharing my opinion as to why sales are down because that is bad for the USA and when plants close people lose their jobs. http://www.boycottford.com (http://www.boycottford.com)

I don't like the boxy look of the Ford 500 and like the aerodynamic European styling of the old Taurus much better. Our local Ford dealer is offering a 07 500 SEL for $20,999. Tax, tag, title are extra. All rebates to dealer. In SC we have a $300. tax cap on vehicle sales.
